Bike to ACES!

Thank you bikers, walkers, and bus riders, too! We love our dedicated Hallam Lake and Rock Bottom Ranch kids and adults who ride their bikes to our programs whenever possible! Thanks also goes to the City of Aspen for their TOP program and grant, which allows us to give away some great incentive prizes!
We started this program in 2009 to encourage alternatives to driving cars when coming to ACES. We hope you'll continue to ride your bikes instead of driving - we love seeing your name on the ACES Bike Boards at Hallam Lake and Rock Bottom Ranch!
How it works

Each participant receives a "bike card" on which they write their name and age and hang it on the Bike Board. Each time they ride/walk to Hallam Lake or Rock Bottom Ranch they received a sticker and put it onto their "bike card." Partipants with the most stickers win, and all participants are entered into a random prize drawing.

Our staff bikes too! This bike, owned by ACES' Forest Programs Director Adam McCurdy is called an Xtracyle. These bikes are great for carrying heavy loads without becoming difficult to ride. They can be purchased at Aloha Mountain Cyclery in Carbondale.
